Municipal Sales Manager

Job Summary

Promote and Increase activity in terms of quoting and selling to Municipal Markets thru representatives as well as direct selling. Ability to travel 50% of time visiting representatives and customers in USA.  Provide technical and commercial proposals in response to inquiries.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Grow business in municipal market segments by calling on customers and representatives in territory on regular basis.
  • Maintain and manage customer relations
  • Develop and maintain active relationships with current and prospective customers to meet their requirements
  • Set strategies to sell our products and services to new and established customers.
  • Locate and develop new customers and sales potentials
  • Review orders, including all technical specifications and quotations, commercial, and legal details to mutual satisfaction of all parties
  • Visit customer locations to ensure close and regular face to face contact.
  • Complete annual performance reviews of representatives to motivate, train, and support them.
  • Provide 3MFR

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelors in Engineering, Sciences or related field

7 + years industry knowledge

Must have extensive knowledge in the field of pumps used in Municipal markets.  Knowledgeable of pump selections, applications, and competitors.  Must be able to communicate ideas, concepts, solutions, customer pay-back at all levels of the customer’s organization at a high professional level.  Ability to manage a national territory, develop and execute business plans.  Strong knowledge of pumps, applications, sales and marketing.
