Regional Sales Manager - Fire Pumps

Position Title:  Fire Pump Sales

Area:  North America – Region to be determined

Department:  Fire Pump Division

 

 

PURPOSE

Increase sales of Ruhrpumpen standard fire pumps to our target markets both through the contractor sales channel and through distribution network.  Manage the territory to increase our market share, grow sales and profits. 

 

RESPONSIBILITY

Principal Accountabilities

  1. Communicate, develop and maintain relationships with customers, dealers and other sales representatives.
  2. Work with customers to influence specifications and gain Ruhrpumpen product acceptability.
  3. Review customer or project specifications and make pump selections as well as quotations.
  4. Do the fire pump startup at job sites.
  5. Use knowledge and other industry contacts to find the market or industry products and price levels, feed this information to Management to ensure we fulfill the market´s needs.
  6. Make joint sales calls with dealers and reps to help securing orders for RP products
  7. Be involved in the order entry process to ensure a smooth transition from the customer to the RP factory
  8. Assist in specific marketing projects as required and requested by Marketing Manager
  9. Travel as required to manage the business in territory
  10. Maintain all company tools in good working order
  11. Provide monthly and weekly reports to Fire Pump Sales Manager

PROFILE

Education

HS Diploma/ GED - Required

Bachelor Degree - BSME preferred or equivalent pump experience

 

Experience

Fire Pump Experience - 2

Internal / External Sales - 2

 

Knowledge

Pump curve interpretation, pump and driver selections, NFPA-20, Fire pump startup.
