Field Service Tech

PURPOSE

Provides Field Service Support as required for OEM Support, Customer Service/Warranty, and Local Service Centers.  Focused mostly on site installation verification, commissioning and start up, and pump repair/seal replacement.

 

RESPONSIBILITY

Provide in field technical advice/supervision/support to customers in all aspects of inspection, repair, installation, alignment, and start-up/commissioning of pumps and related rotating equipment.

Troubleshoot- providing basic to advanced troubleshooting technical expertise

Knowledgeable of different types of pumps, seals, and bearings

Performs installation and removals of various types of equipment

Professional outlook and attitude when working with customers.

Conduct efficient and thorough onsite inspections and startups.

Complete Field Service daily, final and expense reports at the close of each assignment.  Communicate all work conducted on site with the Field Service Manager.

Must be available for International travel to perform field service on-site.

Field Service Direct Experience - 5+ years

Laser and A-Line Alignment

Knowledge

The incumbent must have at least 5 years direct experience in site installations, millwright, or site service including but not limited to laser and a-line alignment, vibration analysis, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, safety, start-up/commissioning, root cause analysis, seals, bearings, equipment rebuild, and/or plant turn arounds.

The incumbent must have an aptitude for mechanics and pumping experience for vertical, horizontal, and overhung units along with problem solving and experience with support systems.

The incumbent must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

The incumbent must be proficient with personal computers and basic P.C. software (M.S. Office, Word, & Excel).
