Position Title: Pipeline Market Manager

– Main Objective
The Pipeline Market Manager will be responsible for growing the Pipline market segment. To maximize RP efforts accross disciplines and territorial boudaries, supporting, assisting and uniting Original Equipment and Aftermarket with a common purpose. This will include development of End-Uder relationships and EPC/contractors for new equipment as well as mechanical optimazation of existing equipment. Providing sales assistance and strategic direction to the field Sales Team within defined products and/or markets, with the objective of incrementally increasing sales, market share and profits through targeted/strategic focus. The Pipeline Market Manager will be responsible for covering all Ruhrpumpen Products, as well as Non-OEM specialized support and will travel with the Sales Team as required. Travel will be approximately 30%. The position reports to the Vice President of Sales -North America.
Responsible for sales and business development efforts in the Pipeline Oil & Gas and related market segments.
Establish a National authorized representative network.
Evaluate current and future market conditions and opportunities. Formulate and implement sales strategies which maximize presence, increase market share/penetration and provide solid results solutions for the customer
Stay current with Pipeline Industry activity, new product developments; working closely with RP OE Group to identify and share potential projects
Advise Management on a regular basis of market conditions, competitive forces, regulator changes, etc. which impact continuous growth.
Travel with Sales Teams on a regular basis to assist them in their efforts to develop, communicate, and sell Aftermarket productions and where applicable, OE business in the Petroleum Pipeline Sector
Develop and maintain active relationships with key buying influences at all levels within the customer’s organization; specifically upper level customer personnel, promoting top down selling.
Evaluate and establish terms and conditions, and where possible, maintenance / service agreements with Key / Target Accounts in the PPS segment.
Provide and/or arrange product, technical and process training to the Sales Team and Customers
Maintain good working relationships with essential RP Manufacturing, OE Sales, and Service Center personnel
Assist in developing scope/cost proposals to support sales efforts in this market segment
Develop new specialty product offerings and train Aftermarket Sales team in defining and selling offerings
Evaluate effectiveness Product / Market sales strategies and tactics, make changes as needed.
Supplier or Customer Relation
BSME or Equivalent pump experience
Pipeline Pump Experience -10 years
Must have 10 years specialized product / market experience preferred. Must have good computer skills, be able to communicate ideas, concepts, solutions, customer pay-back at all levels of the customer’s organization at a high professional level. Ability to develop and execute product/market based business plans and to positively influence the Sales team with strategic direction and focus and training as needed. Understand exacting regulatory requirements be able to converse with customers about current industry trends and have foresight to present problem solutions developing alternate options for the customers
